I hae tried for several months now (not every day) to weld in a 4" by 12"
repair piece. I can spot tack in in and have some success, but when I go to
stitch weld it, I end up cutting it out and starting over. I'm using a
Lincoln Pro 135, 75/25 Argon-CO2 shielding gas with .024 wire. If I set the
heat on A, the lowest setting, I do not get proper fusion. If I set it on B,
the next available setting, it's too hot and I get burn through. I am
setting the feeed at 4 and keeping the nozzle about 1/2" from he material. I
have welded heavier metal before with no problem, but this stuff's driving
me crazy. Any hints?
