Hmmm...

This is more than a little troubling.

Brother Don restored a 1/2 ton '68 Chevy pickup , maybe 8-10 years ago...
from a $400 6 cylinder POS to a very well done ground up restoration 350 V8.
He painted the truck in its original green with Centari (acrylic enamel with
hardener). If you recall, those trucks had the filler high on the post
behind the driver's door. Over the years, from over filling, or expansion
from the heat of the sun. there's been plenty of fuel spilled on it without
ever damaging anything.

Today (in IL) he filled up with Amoco/BP silver, their mid-grade fuel. It's
hot and sunny, and the fuel expanded some and seeped out the cap... AND
LIFTED THE PAINT RIGHT OFF THE TRUCK!!! What is up with that? What are they
putting in fuel around here, and why would it not have affected the paint
before? This is not good...

Any ideas?
