i have to tap a hole for a VDO temperature sending unit that i believe is
metric. (it's from a saab V4 engine wich is a german ford engine, i do not
have the engine here to test anything in an original hole) i'm familiar
with standard pipe thread type taps. this one looks very fine and not being
a very "metric" guy, i'm curious. is there a metric equivelent series of
pipe thread taps or is pipe thread ....pipe thread. somewhere i think(have
not used it in a long time....) i have a thread per inch gauge set. my
problem lies in the fat that i have 1 shot to tap the hole. if i ruin the
piece i'm sunk. any input on this ?
hey! i'd rather admit i'm not well versed on this and get proper assistance
than think i know it all and fudge it out of total ignorance!
