I have encountered a problem trying to start my bugeye. The engine has been
rebuilt. It has a Judson Supercharger. I have read articles where the engine
has been hard to start with the supercharger. I tried to start the engine
without the drive belt. However, it fires for a few moments then backfires
through the carburetor. I read e-mails where the unit is run without the belt.
I thought with the new engine it might be better to start it without the
boost. Any comments?
