Thanks to everyone who helped on this one, I took the rubber hose and
disconnected, now I'm going to take the cap and metal tube down to the
locksmith and have them make a key, they reckon about $10-$12.

A locksmith will charge you big $$$ just to show up at your house. Open the
trunk, disconnect the filler tube from the big rubber coupler and remove
the
tube. Take it to your locksmith and save yourself a big show-up fee.
Or just replace the filler tube with one from a trashed out car.
