hello flounder...
i have a MKII Sprite (i call it a Super Sprite) with a 2300 Mustang under
the hood , approaching 150 hp....it was built by others for autocrossing
..... when i use it on the street, i have a set of Falken radials on the same
type 4 spoke american mags you refer to (i think they are wider
though)......i am running 205-60-R13 Falken FK-06U radials......(there are
1/2" spacers on the rear wheels, and the rear wheel wells are flared.....the
front wheels are not spaced out.....the original studs were replaced with
7/16-20 chevy vega long studs)......this is NOT the size you can run,
obviously....my main reason for emailing you, is to let you know that Falken
makes a very nice tire that can handle extra hp, and ride relatively
well.......i met a lady with a Sunbeam Tiger V-8 who was running the exact
same tires i am running, and she loved them......
as to what size you CAN use....well, i would venture to say 185-70-R13
....but you should see what size others are running with a stock MKIII
Sprite.....hope this was a bit helpful....
