That follows the general rule for advancing the cam -
advancing helps bottom end, retarding helps the higher
end. The power band of you're motor will shift
depending - it's like moving the power band of your
cam - if it says "Fast Road, 1500-6500 RPM", advancing
it will shift that a few hundred RPM downward. I
would think that on a race car, you'd play with the
cam timing based on where you're racing.
