Nope, other way around. Ca. cars HAVE the CAT others do not. You have a
Federal (48 state) model, not a Ca. model. That doesn't mean you can't use
or register it in Ca., just that it was originally sold in another state
first. My '75 came from Florida after it was only a few months old. No cat
and no problem smogging it either, even with the air pump gutted and the
air injection plugged from rust. The 1500 run very clean if they are tuned
right.
