Tommy, simple solution, let her DRIVE your Sprite. My wife was not happy about 
me
buying a my "first" second car, but a drive one afternoon in the Midget changed 
her
tune INSTANTLY, just make sure she gets to drive on a semi regular basis and 
your
problem is solved. Worked for me, YMMV            Brad
