It is worse than that, the site creator probably did a good and careful job of
trying to
match a paint chip to what they saw on their monitor *but* what you see on your
monitor can be *very* different. Not only is it related to the knobs/buttons
you use
to tweak your monitor, but to the exact phosphorus the manufacturer chose to
use.
To minimise the differences, you both need "reference" monitors and these are
*very very* expensive.
Also bear in mind that the range of colours displayable on a monitor is a
subset of the
colours you can see. (this is a direct result of the decision to use a 3 colour
system)
So, the bottom line is that you can't rely in screen colours to be anything
other than a vague,
inaccurate representation of he true colour.
