John,
I'm very sorry to hear of your deer hit. As many will probably write
you, you may not feel like it now, but you were lucky. My brother hit
a deer a few years ago in Kansas. It nearly totalled the car. In
fact, there was so much damage that it never was fixed right and he
had to sell the car at a huge loss. He felt lucky because, like you,
the deer wiped out the passenger side but left him uninjured.
