You mentioned it might be the water pump, maybe it is the timing chain?
Or wrist pin slap.
Both are not serious but will need attention in a year or so.
I knew I needed a timing chain before I drove from NJ to Wisconsin, over 1000
miles at speed. I also had more than one engine with a wrist pin slap, they go
for years with no ill effects.
