Hi List,
Had the day off work to do some work around the house before the Winter sets
in and not least make a start on re-modeling the garden lawn to get it a
slope to it rather than have it end in mini 'cliff face'. Also smoothing out
some of the hopeless dips in it.
So, I cut the turf back in one area so I can fill it in with dirt from
another to start the process. A lot of rubbish under the turf including some
glass, an old shoe etc. The spade hit something really hard at one point and
guess what? It was a Lucas voltage regulator box. Dug a bit more and found
a root of some king and hey! The root was a an ignition plug lead so I gave
it a good yank and attached to it was a complete distributur - the whole
shooting match. Strangest things I have ever come across in a garden.
Anyone have a metal detector so I can check if there is a whole engine or
even car buried in my garden!
