Just back after a few days break from the list to catch up on other things.
Went to the scrappies today to get the 1500 twin carb inlet manifold from the
car that I got the carbs & air box from last Saturday. I couldn't get the
inlet seperated from the exhaust (on the dolomite they are bolted together
nor could I get the exhaust manifold seperated from the down pipe.
So, looks like a trip back next week with a hacksaw, blowlamp and mini
stilsons.
HOWEVER,
A friend of the guy that worked in the scrappies had a brand new carb in a
box he wanted to sell so I had a look at it. Turned out it was CD150
Stromberg so I bought it on the spot. It is brand new never seen petrol but
not in the original box. I guess the needle will be wrong but until I have
had a proper look at it I can't be sure what it was originally for.
SO, not just yet but in due course, does anyone want to make me an offer it
and I will hold it for them. I didn't pay big money for it so even with
shipping most likely it will be a bargain.
