1275 with Datsun 210 5-speed, 210 clutch plate, 210 pressure plate, and 210
release bearing.
Started hearing a noise when clutch is pressed and the tranny in any gear.
Not all of the time at idle. Press the clutch, put tranny in gear and rev
the engine and it would do it almost every time. It was kind of a
semi-grinding or whirring noise. Fairly loud.
Pulled the engine and tranny this evening and all the clutch parts and the
release bearing look like new.
The pilot bushing looks ok but was dry.
Could it be the dry bushing or is it the tranny?
