Hello DLancer7676,
                 try this.. it should work.. (in theory.. .... has
                 anyone else tried this.. ?)
                 take a candle or a block of parafin.. and rub the
                 zipper!  it should coat the metal and fill the holes
                 PLUS make the zipper work smoother.. if not that then
                 use that stuff from the camping supply places for
                 tent zippers!!!! you should still carry the towel
                 tho!
