Frogeye(Bugeye) Rear springs

After having owned one or other Frogeye since 1966 I have a question
regarding the rear quarter elliptic springs.
Everywhere you read these days they speak about the rear being oversprung.
Not knowing any different, I have never noticed it.
Has anyone tried different springs or removed some leaves on the standard
springs to overcome this perceived problem?
If so, please share your experiences with me.
