I just wanted to pass along a possible source for parts. This guy,
alfa1750, listed some DCOE Webers on ebay. I bit. I'm very pleased
with the two DCOEs I bought, for less than $100 each. The catch is he's
in Italy. Still, with shipping, it was only around $200 for two really
nice carbs. They arrived in about 4 weeks. He has similar carbs listed
now.
Disclaimer: Your results may vary. Don't try this at home.
Professional ebayer, closed track. Yada Yada Yada. Just about any
carb will have to be tuned/calibrated for your specific needs,
especially if you want peak performance.
I'm just a satisfied customer. If you're looking for a DCOE or DCOM you
may want to give him a look. I think $100 is reasonable for DCOE
carbs. They are good carbs, but don't pay $500 plus if you don't have
to.
