Was reading in the Auto section of the local newspaper this morning and
saw this bit.
They've announced that the United Kingdom is considering switching to
driving on the right to bring the country in line with the rest of the
world.
It seems like a reasonable idea. Sweden did the same thing in the
'60s. One morning, new street signs appeared on the back side of the
old ones, everybody drove to work on the other side of the street, and
only moderate chaos was reported.
The UK announcement was: "to avoid confusion, the government will
implement the switch in stages, with trucks and buses the first week,
SUVs and sedans in week two and motorcycles and bicycles in the third
week."
