There was a lister a couple of years ago who mounted his stereo in a manner
such as this. The way I understood it, he retreived a Chevy Van stereo
surround which allowed the unit to be installed into the current Speaker
hole. He sent a pic and the installation looked great. If that person is
reading would you let us know again about how you did the stereo mount?
