intend to head down there with the whole fam damily (no Elizabeth, no snakes!!)
I saw several GREAT lurkers off the list today, Bruce and Wayne Lowry, at the
Pate Swap Meet today. They were set up near the middle of about 60 acres of used
car parts and they let me and my bud park our purchases at their spot (they
didn't sell anything ...........that I noticed) rather than let us tote them all
day. They had cars shade and water, all of which they generously shared. I think
they will be coming down for Spridgetstock this year.
I saw a DCOE today on a 'B' manifold for $125. It looked a little rough and I
passed it up. Was this a mistake?? I did get two new control boxes for a bugeye
still in the box, a bugeye pedal box with a new, never used twin master in it,
and a group of items that had a box spridget gas tank in good shape, generator,
bugeye air filter, bugeye exhaust clamp, floor dip switch, starter cable, 2
heater switch/cables, and a fuse box with cover. All for less than a C note. I
love this swap meet!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will be going back on Saturday, if I see the DCOE still there, anyone
interested?? The banjo bolt for the fuel line was broken off. There was a dented
area on the side where it appears someone was trying to loosen a sticking float.
It would need a total rebuild IMHO. First email to me has first
dibs.....................
