Reduces the pedal pressure required by the driver to produce any given amount 
of force input (the input hydraulic pressure).  EG the engine inlet vacuum 
pulls upon a diapragm to save the drivers calf muscles when he/she presses 
the brake pedal.
The servo has absolutely NO effect on increasing the efficiency of the brake 
system - that is dictated by the respective differences in size between 
master and slave cylinders.
