We had a Farm All B tractor, it had a bad starter that my dad wouldn't fix. We
used the crank start exclusively. I had my best luck when I pulled the crank to
the top of the stroke. One sharp push downward and the tractor started on a half
turn every time. Course it didn't hurt that we kept it well tuned so we didn't
have to turn it in vain.......
