Larry:
I must confess the TR is nowhere near as much fun as the Bugeye, which is the
funnest car I've ever owned, period. Actually, I am considering a swap --
the TR for an AH 100-4 that has been badly scandalized under the hood but
could be upgraded to a 'Merikin V8 (believe me, you don't want to know what's
in there now -- a 327 would be an improvement of monstrous proportions). But
then you get into the old argument about originality vs. bastard fun, etc.
etc. Have made no decisions yet, but I'll keep you posted.
Despite the leanings of this list, I am sure many of you secretly agree the
TR3A is one of the most beautiful of designs to look at. Even on fire, it's
prettier than most! (Don't ask.) And ya just gotta love that hand crank
slot in the grille! And no, that's not a cast on my wrist.
