I really enjoyed the responses to your first question :-)
Here is my attempt at an answer. Low end torque is helped by:
* high compression ratio
* docile cam timing (maybe a Kent 256 or 266)
* displacement (such as an overbore to 1380cc or bigger (duh :-()
* smallish (stock) intake runners, head ports and valves to keep up the
charge velocity
I don't know if there are mods to head that would increase the low end, I
also don't know what an LCB does for the low end.
Related mods are reduction of car weight and lower final drive ratio (4.22).
