According to the Haynes manual when reassembling the ribcase, you lock the shifting fork "with the fork locating screw, shakeproof washer and locknut...." When I disassembled the gearbox, it didn't have any "shakeproof washer" or locking washer of any type with the locating screw and locknut. Are these missing washer simple lockwashers, or something special? Thanks! Bill Mantz Roanoke, Va. 1971 Midget 1959 Bugeye |
