Dream machine response

Thanks to everyone who responded to the dream machine thread, I got some
great ideas, learned alot, and will probably use most of the suggestions
in one car or the other. I have one follow up question for which there
may not be a simple answer for though. At what point, other than
catastrophic failure, do I know that I have reached the limit of the
tranny? I would prefer to stay just short of it
