George:
If you are in the NYC area, then check out The Panel Shop in Stratford,
Connecticut. These guys can make or repair absolutely anything. They are
housed in a building with Automotive Restorations and collaborate with them on
different projects. The write up below from
http://www.mgcars.org.uk/garages/garus.html describes a little about them.
Well worth the trip even just to visit.
The Panel Shop, 1785 Barnum Ave., Stratford (203) 377-6208; welding and panel
fabrication.

Jim Pinto recommends: Small work to Full Blown Restorations. Concours
quality (Clearly one of the Best shops the
     Country has to offer).
The panel shop consists of 2 Brits one with Rolls Royce factory experience
and the other I believe similar british car
factory experience. There is nothing they can not make or repair. Light
weight jags, healeys etc. Upholstry shop
contains similar background. Best paint work I have ever seen. Race shop
within Restoration shop. So many craftsmen
in one company I can not outline it here.
