The top needs to be under tension. On the Bugeye the top bow "legs" are
spring loaded to apply an upward pressure on the top. Do you have that type
of bow? If the top is to large then the springs can not put enough pressure
on the top. Also when erecting the top be sure to fully seat the cross bar
into the windshield recess.
