1 1/4 SUs, Ram Pipes, and K&N Filters

Hey i just got my vizard book and after reading about using ram pipes and 
K&N filters to improve the performance of my 1275, I have some questions.

I have 1 1/4 SUs on my 1275.

1) Is it worth it to put ram pipes and K&N filters on them?

2) Is it expensive?

3) Anyone have this setup?
