Adrian:
The wire not being there could affect the choke action, I guess, but more
importantly, if the wire is no longer there, do you know where it is? Mine
slipped off, laid against the manifold sporadically, which melted the
insulation off it, and each time it touched it it would short out the engine
and kill it.
