Thanks to everyone on the list that answered my question about my gas gage
needle bouncing around. The voltage regulator is probably the culprit as
someone on the list pointed out. It is the only thing in the electrical
system that is not rebuilt, repaired or new. I wanted it for the correct
date on it. And considering the ignition warning light does not go
out(another problem), this points in the same direction. I will try
everyone's suggestions first because that is cheaper than a new voltage
regulator. What a list!
