Sorry for such a vague question. I am trying to determine the weight of a
Datsun 210 tranny for means of placing it in my baggage and checking it onto
an airline. (limit is 70 lbs... max limit is 100 lbs with a fee) The only
tranny I ever dealt with was my Land Cruisers' with the transfercase bolted
on... that thing was massive. I imagine the Datsun (and perhaps BMC) stuff
will be "lighter duty" and therefore lighter. Just looking to see if
bringing a 5 speed tranny to France with me this summer for a Spridget owner
in France. (Dunno if he's on the list or not). My sister is also leaving
this Sunday for France with only one suitcase (that's a miracle) anybody
need anything shipped to Paris? (Or London, I will be visiting there in
June\July) Will trade shipping for Guinness and\or Spridget parts.
Toby, who travels with a couple jeans, 3 or 4 T shirts, his toothbrush (and
bar of soap) and
both passports (oh and the swiss army knife). 5-10 lbs max not including me
heh..
