Hey All,
I added another 74 Midget to my pile. I'm in PA and it is in Florida,
(Home of Woodrat - Larry). I am traveling to FL next Tuesday and will
be attempting to start this car to use as a driver when I am down
there. I have not seen the car I bought it over the phone, (the price
was very right).
All suggestions are welcome!!!
History of the car;
It has been sitting for about 2 months. The PO tells me that the
starter (new) turns but the car won't start. It was being driven
several times a week, previous to the no start problem.
My Plan;
1. Check for fuel. (bad fuel pump maybe)
2. Check fuel lines
3. Check for spark.
4. Hot wire to bypass ign. switch and sel.
If it has fuel and spark and there is nothing wrong with the engine, it
"should" start. The PO tells me that it was running considerably well
before he encountered the no start problem.
Things I will be taking along with me;
1. Spare dizzy
2. Fuel pump and filter
3. Fuel line, (in case it is blocked or has an air sucking hole in it).
4. Extra points and condenser.
5. Fuses and/or circut breakers (50 amp)
6. some wire and a soldering gun
7. Ignition switch.
8. Jumper cables
