My experience is that is it a question of confidence. The more miles you do
and the longer the trips the greater your confidence will be in the car.
When driving at night remember that if all the lights go out pull back on the
headlight flasher stalk and the main beam may work.
If the alternator/generator packs up - drive on sidelights very closely to
the car in front.
Carry a metal coathanger because it will be the only thing that the exhaust
pipe will not burn through if a bracket breaks.
Always be sure to service the car and it will be fine.
