Manifolds/headers like with anything else you get what you pay for. The
maniflow or janspeed stuff is more expensive because it is made better and
ultimately is more efficient - read the chapter in DVs book for all the
complex stuff. I have seen some cheap LCB manifolds that were basically crap
and they didn't even bolt up to the head properly. What do you want - the
most power for the money you spend on tuning parts or something that almost
looks and sounds the part but leaves you breathing the other guys tailpipe
fumes?
I have no direct experience of the Pace Setter header.

There are Cooper Ss and there are cooper ss. Rover made Mini a brand some
years back (BMW plan to keep the mini name) and there is a version of the
Mini that is a Cooper S. What did you plan to buy a hot sixties LBC or the
modern overweight but possibly more refined and powerful model? What exactly
is being offered for sale?

And hey Daniel in particular: I'm hot for a Cooper S. I see in Hemmings
that
there are several orgs. sending them over from the UK. Any experience with
any
of them. Probably asking the guy on the wrong side of the pond, tho.
