Silly question, but.....Does the crank have the mark 'EN 40 B' stamped/cast
onto it somewhere?  Some of the earliest engines had nitrided(hardened)
cranks to allow for a breakage problem.  This could be why yours hasn't worn
so much.  I believe they are worth some extra cash!!!!!
