You can also order direct from K&N, but be carful, their 'technical experts'
are
anything but...

I needed a 'custom' size, to fit both ram pipes on my Delorto DHLA (same as a
weber dcoe), and still have clearence in the bugeye engine compartment. The
ones
marketed by VB or Moss are either too short to use ram pipes, or too tall to
clear the fender. I believe I used 1.75" ram pipes, and special ordered a 2.75"
high filter element. This setup still uses the same housing top and bottom
plate
as the other elements offered. I think I ended up paying a total of around $60
for the set up. However the 'technical experts' at K&N shipped me the bottom
plate for the 3"+ filter housing, and a 'blank' raw steel top plate. I had to
cut and modify the mounting bracket for the top plate to lower it, and paint
and
drill a mounting hole in the top plate before I could use it.
In any case, if any one else is interested in this set up, be sure you get the
bottom plate for the shallower filter, and specify a 'finished chrome' top
plate.
