Hi Larry,
It is a pretty short depth. I used to have a Sony in dash CD player in my
Sprite and it was a pretty tight fit. It was a 6 1/4 inch depth unit.
Someone gave me a tip to try, although I haven't done it yet. They said to
pull the trim piece from the bulkhead and trace it onto a 3/4 inch piece of
plywood. Cut it out, cover it in the correct vinyl, and cut a hole for the
hood release, and you've bought yourself another 3/4 inch clearance. Hope
this info helps!

I got a gift certitficate for a Stereo for the Midget for Xmas. I wanna
go buy one but I need to know the max depth of the housing before I walk
into the store. I know it is rather short, like in the vicinity of 6",
and I remember that Damark or somebody recently had the dimensions in a
Catalog, I no longer have. (Now that sentence will make an English
Teacher cringe). I went to the Damark site (www1.damark.com) but could
not find a measurement chart.
Any suggestions or help, or am I gonna have to go pull the console and
measure the freaking thing. Not that hard - but not the easiest either.
Thanks
Larry
