Upon your recommendation, my wife got me a copy of "Omnibus of Speed" for
Christmas. Inside was written, obviously in the hand of a youngster who
just learned to write, "To Dad. . .from Scotty-- 12/25/58". It is a first
edition, so Scotty obviously gave the book to his Dad when it was newly
published. It would be interesting to know where and who Scotty is now.
Right below that inscription is now a new one: "To David Campbell . . .from
Wife Paula--12/25/99"
Oh, and thanks a lot, Bob, for recommending the book--it is an excellent
read!!!!
