Does anyone have a lead on a Datsun 210 tranny? I'm kicking around the
idea of a conversion on this car instead of replacing the front seal on the
original ribcase. It is going to be a matter of available funds.
If I convert, is anyone interested in a perfectly good original ribcase tranny
that has a front oil seal leak? No popping out of any of the gears or any
strange noises. The threads on the oil filler plug hole are messed up too.
I have three other ribcase trannies. One does pop out of first gear. I know
nothing of the condition of the second ribcase. The third one has a 50/50
chance of being okay - although I never saw it in action. I also have one
smooth case tranny that I am sure is not good but may have usable parts.
I have no idea why I have so many trannies especially since I don't know
how to rebuild them.
