Steve,
I think you are off on your tire sizes.
Stock is 145-13 which translates to 145/80-13 (or 78 or 82 depending on
who you ask).
The 165s you put on were probably 165/70, same diameter as stock. If
they were 165/80, those tires are huge! :-)
I have not seen a 155/70, so you probably installed 155/80s.
