Barry:  I don't know the going rate--you will probably hear from other 
listers, but I bought a 1500 tranny for mine from a guy who works on British 
cars for $150.  It is now in my Midget.   It was not rebuilt or 
anything--just came out of a donor car.  Of course this is not a Rib-case 
either--not sure, again, of the going rate.
