Hi Paul, I've moved my Bugeye several times in a box trailer. I rented a 5x12 open box trailer with a swing-down tailgate. Lower the tailgate, roll the car in, raise the tailgate, jam some old couch cushions in the front and rear of the car, and away you go. Around here 5x12 trailers rent for about $25 a day. You won't have to worry about the unknowns of 30 year old wheel bearings, gear lube, turn signals or brake lighting, etc. Most 5x12 trailers have double axles and are more than sturdy enough to handle the weight of a Midget.
