Ya know, I'm a novice at these things, but I think that the Coke recipe
arose as a hoax. It contains sugar, which doesn't burn efficiently, and if
phosphoric acid is allowed to sit in the engine, it will probably work by
corroding around the rings, not by loosening them.
Odd how you didn't suggest using Sprite in the Sprite. Or even Diet Sprite,
which would be sugar free.
Makes sense to me.
