Light chocolate brown color indicates the mixture is correct.  You probably
are just about right.

Hi Larry...and everyone else,
I just pulled #1 &#2 spark plugs and they have a matt brown deposit/coloring
to them. I was expecting a grey color if mixture is correct. Am I running
lean? There was no carbon deposited so it's not rich...they are very thinly
coated with the brown color.
