I like you reply... simple and to the point.
But can I tell if my rear-end is a wire wheel one that someone changed the
hubs to accommodate steel wheels?
Anybody know the distance from backing plate to the other?

Drew,
I'm back in town and Sunday will measure the banjo's that we have. Someone
mention that wires were rare on bugeyes. This is true for the "factory
option wire wheels" which actually were done by Healey. Many if not all Mk I
Midgets came with wire wheel (do not want to start that again) which of
course will bolt right on a bugeye. That is where we got the banjo for our
car. Do not know which banjo Healey used but his set up is not the same as
that use by BMC.
