spin on oil filters

Hi guys,
I decided to start getting my oil filters at the local  NAPA store rather
than mail order from the usual places. However, when they cross referenced
for my Bugeye ofcourse only the canister type filter came up. I have changed
my car to the spin on oil filter, but I don't really know where the adapter
came off of. Is that a later Sprite adapter and therefor I can just ask for
a filter for a MKIV Sprite or what??Thanks, Carol '59 Bugeye.
