I was actually serving at Uncle Sam's pleasure (USAF) when I bought mine. I was
stationed at March AFB, and wandered into University Imports to take a test 
drive
of the nice Pale Primrose Sprite in the showroom. Traded in my '64 VW Beetle (I
think they gave me $500 for it).
