All I'll add to this conversation is that Devcon (TM) is wonderful stuff.
In the dim dark past, I have used a lot of Devcon on the inside of a 2
stroke
motor that I raced for a couple of years. It is amazing stuff.
I must admit the though of using Devcon in devious ways has crossed
my mind, but I haven't used it on a spridget (yet)
There are different versions of devcon depending on the temp and wear
characteristics you are after. Try your local bearing shop - they should be
able to point you in the right direction.
